In search of hidden treasures in the heart of Tuscany, Italy

There are those who love art. There are those who love Tuscany. One of the most unique regions in Italy – culturally speaking – that boasts all kinds of artistic expression: painting, architecture, sculpture, design, a food and wine tradition, music. We could continue to mention artists that have historically conquered our 5 senses:

Sight immediately brings us to Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, Lippi, Verrocchio, who have always exalted it. Touch often comes as a consequence, as we all feel the need to come into contact with things, understand the shapes and techniques used to create a great work of art. Smell? Let me tell you something. During the Renaissance, Florence was the cradle of the art of “making perfumes”. It is still possible to find these precious laboratories to this day.

We could also talk about the aromas of traditional dishes such as ribollita, panzanella or cantucci, but we would rather place them in the delicious world of taste. When it comes to hearing, the journey starts from the historic works of art of Giacomo Puccini. So far, the names have indeed been interesting, yet too simple, as these internationally-renowned names have enabled the ongoing artistic development of the whole of Tuscany. Our intention is to discover private collections, small art museums owned by enthusiasts, cooking events, wine tastings, vineyard tours and musical events throughout the region.  We will discover the 5 senses together.

The wonderful starting point is the ancient Certosa di Maggiano Monastery. It will be the point of reference of our artistic project. It is located in the heart of the most authentic Tuscany, in a place where imperfection is charm. The story of Certosa is diverse just as its interior: a model of hospitality founded in 1316 that was welcomed and maintained over the following centuries. Up to the present day. As for more information about this experience, 365Art is available to answer any question/request and send you details of the tour.
