The Eurasian cave lion is an extinct species of big cat in the Panthera genus, which inhabited Eurasia during the second half of the Pleistocene. It includes several subspecies known as the “cave lion”. It was one of the most important predators of the Middle and Upper Pleistocene. This particular skull belongs to a female of advanced age, who lived during the Ice Age. One canine is broken, teeth are worn down, and she has two bite with other large felines in the distant past.
