„Iris“ is a ongoing portrait project started in 2021. Each object is different, because each Iris is different. «For me it’s the most minimal version of a portrait. In this version is the beholder immediately also part of the image, because the background is a mirror. In that case it’s a visual dialogue with the object, and the image dissolve in a chaotic dangle of dots, when the beholder get closer. Everything we see is getting relativized», says the artist.
About the Artist:
Norbert Brunner was born in the Austrian town of Hohenems, near the border with Switzerland. He currently lives and works in Vienna. A conceptual and figurative artist, he also creates art installations and is well-known internationally. The personal exhibitions of artist were held at the Claire Oliver Gallery (New York), Bäckerstrasse4 Gallery (Vienna), in Switzerland, Russia, China, and other countries.
